Program: Chaplaincy
Position Title: Therapeutic Mentor
Description: This is a part-time management position (approx 3-4 hours per week). The Therapeutic Mentor is responsible for providing a positive one-on-one relationship with a specific PRTF Residential youth. This employee will also work in coordination with the said resident’s treatment team in deciding the best treatment plan for the youth.
Responsibilities: This position will establish positive one-on-one relationship with a specific resident, encourage the resident o maintain aspects of their treatment plan. Assist resident in their academic progress and/or explore various careers. Assist the resident in understanding the importance of healthy relationships.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience/training in crisis intervention including TLC’s de-escalation /restraint model (i.e. Crisis Prevention Intervention), strengths based model, Boys-town behavioral model, Psycho Education Model and basic knowledge of residential treatment is preferred. Successful completion of multiple trainings will be required to retain position. The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and have a satisfactory driving record.
Hours: Part -time
Salary Range: $10.00 per hour
