D. Min. program has equipped me with fresh knowledge, resources and tools that helped me to expand my own limits and drive more passion for my ministry.

Ruthie Cordova (2005)
Professor and Public Relations Director, Nazarene Seminary of the Americas, San Jose, Costa Rica

25 years into my ministry I realized that I was desperately in need of updating my library, and the resources with which I was familiar. I also realized that I needed to re-immerse myself in an educational endeavor for the last half of my ministry. I investigated a large number of doctoral programs and came to the firm conclusion that NTS could provide in both breadth and depth just what I needed as a pastor in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The NTS Doctor of Ministry Program met and exceeded all of my expectations. I continue to draw daily—literally daily—from the insights I gained in the NTS Doctor of Ministry Program. I couldn’t be more supportive; to me, the Doctor of Ministry Program is one of the most appealing aspects of what NTS has to offer the Church today.

Jesse Middendorf (2000)
General Superintendent, Church of the Nazarene

I knew that NTS would be a good place to study when I enrolled in the D.Min. program. I was not wrong! Interacting with professors and students challenged me to a deeper level of study, a deeper sense of responsibility to ministry and giving myself to God. It was so right for me and my understanding of ministry to study in the D.Min program at NTS!

Veora L. “Cookie” Tressler (1998)
Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation, Norwin, Pennsylvania Church of the Nazarene; Director, Ministerial Training Center and Coordinator, Hispanic Ministries for the Pittsburgh (PA) District of the Church of the Nazarene; Professor, Biblical Life Institute, Freeport, PA

The timing and discipline was right for me. The NTS Doctor of Ministry program opened my mind and heart to a fresh encounter of current educational, shepherding, and practical insights required for pastoral ministry in our times. My understanding of service in Christ's kingdom to this generation took on new dimensions through the study disciplines. I am more grounded, prepared for the coming years of challenging pastoral ministry. Thank you NTS.

Senior Pastor, Heights First Church of the Nazarene, Albuquerque, NM

When I was searching for a place to get a D. Min., I happened to be at NTS and, that day, ran into the national accreditors for all the D. Min. programs. They told me the NTS D. Min. was the Mercedes version across the country. That was enough for me. I enrolled! My D. Min. experience at NTS was extraordinary. The scholarship of the professors, the comradeship among colleagues and the learning was far beyond what I had imagined. I loved it all. The support of the staff made the experience one I shall cherish.

The Rev. Dr. E. Carolyn Wills (1993)
United Methodist pastor, retired

After researching various doctoral programs, I chose NTS because it remained true to our Wesleyan heritage, and fit my personal schedule the best. The NTS D. Min. program provided me with an excellent opportunity to sharpen my pastoral skills, and refine several areas of pastoral ministry for the second half of my ministerial life. In addition to offering an incredible group of Professors and skilled presenters, the opportunity to fellowship with and grow closer to fellow Pastors and others in full-time ministry and service proved that this D. Min. program was an excellent investment of my time and resources. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a doctoral program.

Dr. Terry L. Irish (2001)
Lead Pastor, Sunnyvale, California Church of the Nazarene

I decided upon the NTS Doctor of Ministry Degree Program for two reasons: First, without exception, each of the modules was being taught and facilitated by faculty members not at NTS at the time I completed my Master’s Program there; I valued the opportunity to study with a new generation of Nazarene scholars. And secondly, the Academic Dean was extremely helpful in his encouragement, interest, and support, in contrast to the otherwise pre-occupied administrators I met from several other institutions. The overall strength of the NTS Doctor of Ministry Program in my estimation is the learning that occurs in the context of community. The unique opportunity to "journey" for two years with a cohort of peers determined to stretch and grow became a gift of God's grace. We "fanned the flame" in each other, beginning as hopeful strangers and emerging as devoted friends.
