Position Title: JIAC Intake Worker
Description: This is a non-supervisory, line position for the Juvenile Intake an Assessment Center (JIAC) program. The Intake position provides a smooth process and response to juvenile intake referrals. They will effectively communicate with juveniles, parent/guardians, staff and caseworkers and will gather necessary information regarding the incoming juvenile leading to placement decisions. This position may require some on call time to accommodate juvenile intake and assessment schedule needs.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the administration of the JIAC process, dissemination of JIAC information, assistance with program maintenance, assistance in professional growth maintenance, and assistance in building maintenance. Approximately 40% of this position’s time is spent by interacting with people; approximately 30% is spent utilizing equipment, JIAC forms, computers and databases; and approximately 30% is spent gathering and reviewing data.
Qualifications: A minimum of 60 college credit hours is required. A four-year college degree is preferred. One year working experience in the juvenile justice, criminal justice, social welfare or other related field is preferred. College practicum and internships may be considered in lieu of work experience.
Hours: Full-Time Position
Salary Range: 12.02 per hour
