GASHLAND UMC IS ACCEPTING RESUMES FOR DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN”S MINISTRY
JOB DESCRITION:
This person will be a spiritual mentor for children and their parents. They will be responsible for vision, leadership and resources for all children programming 5th grade and below. There will be some teaching, but the person will be working with and training volunteers in a team approach. The program currently involves Sunday School and has had a week-day learning time, as well. Hours will be 20-24 per week; salary is commensurate with education and experience. Gashland is currently involved in a building program that is increasing numbers of new families weekly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A personal belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education. Experience in Christian education is preferred. Demonstrated skills in creating, planning and administering programs; proven communication skills for children ages and parents.
