Bilingual Therapist

Description Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) is a non-profit social service agency in Kansas City which exists to lessen the ill effects of sexual assault and abuse through prevention, education, intervention, treatment and advocacy. The bi-lingual therapist position provides assessment, treatment, case management and related clinical services to victims and families of sexual assault and abuse, as well as adolescent and adult offenders. Educate and collaborate with others about sexual assault and sexual abuse issues to improve systemic and societal response. Participate in specialized projects requiring professional skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide individual and family therapy related to issues of sexual violence.
Provide group therapy and conduct psychoeducation/support groups with clients.
Provide case management and coordination of services with community collaterals.
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients.
Provide court testimony and advocacy to clients.
Perform staff duties for 24-hour crisis line.
Staff community outreach site or provide clinical services at other community sites.
Qualifications Masters degree in social work, counseling or related field. Missouri license eligible. If not licensed upon hire, must pass licensure test within six months of employment. Previous training in sexual abuse treatment preferred. Bi-lingual (fluent) in Spanish required. MOCSA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and supporting a diverse staff.
